We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)
It is a sure thing that God’s people will face trouble, perplexing situations, and even persecution, all for the sake of the Gospel. But because Christ lives in us, we have victory over all of the powers of the world. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. There must be battles for there to be victories. There must be troubles for there to be triumphs. Temptations must come so that we can see Christ’s power working in us. Count it all joy. It just means Jesus is working in you.
